Easter Best Dressed

March 13, 2016

Easter is right around the corner! Time to start thinking about what beautiful Spring dress your little girl might wear and what dapper little outfit your boy might! I love all of the light pastel colors that Spring brings after the dull winter colors. Such a gorgeous transition of colors. That little bunny dress is absolutely killing me! HOW CUTE! I’m a sucker for the bunny stuff with Easter! I play it up as much as I can :)

Here’s a little Easter inspiration for your mini’s EASTER SUNDAY BEST

Easter Clothes

Boy – bunny sweater // striped button down // linen pants // onesie // shoes // hat

Girl – bunny dress // pink dress // knee socks // big bow // small bow // sweater // skirt // hat // shoes

And can’t forget about MOM! Look at these lovely dresses. I’m absolutely in love with the long maxi dress. Holy pretty. But I also the prints and colors in the other ones! The blue one reminds me of a robin’s egg :) So Easter! Hoppy Shopping! ;) hehe

Shop Spotlight: The Patchery

March 10, 2016

Patch(16of31)

I am SO glad I found The Patchery. This company is brilliant. It’s for all of us folks that wish we knew how to sew so we could be cool and sew our own clothes, but we’re not, so we end up buying them from somewhere that’s cooler than us. INSERT The Patchery. This is a company based out of Minneapolis (Midwest love!!), where you can design your kids’ own clothes, then they make it for you! Brilliant!

There are so many different clothing items to make! Several different kinds of pants, shirts, skirts, dresses, one-pieces, hats… the list goes on! There are tons of different styles to match whatever you like. My favorite is the romper jumpsuit for the boy (exactly what Leo is wearing) and the pleats and pockets dress for the girl! Ivy is wearing the Kimono dress.

Right now, they have five different fabric collections ranging from 6-9 different fabrics in each collection. My favorite is the “Revive Remix!” It’s springy and fresh and so cute! There are tons of choices to mix and match fabrics from each collection to suit your personal taste. And the fabric is SO soft!

Hehe, Leo’s ear :)Patch(9of31)

AND! They’re getting ready to launch a new collection of fabrics for the Spring on March 20! The little piggys are so cute!!

Leo and Ivy are both wearing clothes from the new collection. Aren’t they cute! I love the color on Leo, it looked so good on him!

And it totally matched Ivy’s green eyes! It was perfect for her. Patch(28of31)

I couldn’t wait to try designing something for the kids! I chose to make the pleats and pockets dress for Ivy! She loved that it has pockets because she usually has to carry some small toy or bow around with her :) We chose the “Revive Remix” fabric collection that has six different fabrics. And then we let the fun begin! You can mix and match fabrics ALL over the dress! From the collar, to the front and back, to the sleeves and even the sleeve bands…It was mix and match heaven. Ivy had so much fun choosing what went where. She was a little cray cray, but I kind of honed her in to make the dress kind of cute ;) I can’t wait to get it!

And don’t worry. There are idea starters to help you if you want some inspiration!

Patch(14of31) It takes about 3 weeks to create your masterpiece. I am so anxious to get it! It should be here in time for Easter :)

So go fulfill your designing side and get to work on The Patchery!

Spring Style

February 22, 2016

Spring is IN THE AIR! Caaaaaaaan you feeeeeel the looooooove toniiiiiiight… ok I’ll quit with the Lion King but it HAS ME ALL GIDDY INSIDE! I can FINALLY see the grass in our yard! Goodbye snow! I have been eyeing so many pieces as every shop has flooded with their spring stock. I cannot WAIT to wear flats and sandals again after boot season. But first a pedicure ;)

Here are some items that have me singing!

Spring Style 2016

hooded parka // wool hat // pink tee // coral flat // cheetah flat // floral blouse

Those flats. LOVE. I’ve been seeing that “t-style” flat everywhere and these flats are sort of the situation where you miiiiiight just have to get the same shoe in two colors :/ (guilty) There are several other different colors too! There are pink ones that are 40% off right now! So pretty.

And that hooded parka, screaming at me in that rust color. Perfect for Spring weather!

The pink tee is just so simple and pretty. Pair it with a cool leather jacket to spice it up or with a light denim jacket to make it cool. A vintage plain tee is so so so easy. And it is 20% off right now with lots of colors to choose from! Kinda loving the vintage gold too.

I’m trying to get more feminine in my old age. I’ve been a (wanna-be) hippie forever and I’m a tad over that. I am in a big blouse phase because I love you can dress it up or make it easy. I bought this pretty floral blouse last week while it was 50% off! I love it. And right now, it’s buy one get one 50% off! TONS of blouse colors and prints. Diggin’ this deer one!

And lastly, a hat. God I’ve wanted a wool hat for the last YEAR and I FINALLY got one! Anthro had it on sale big time (50% off! And still is!!!) last week while I was browsing and I snatched it! If you follow me on Instagram (@kayleemaykoch), I baaaasically wore it every day this last weekend, even Leo, hehe! :)

Happy Spring shopping!!!! xo
